Now booking appointments for National Spay Day (20 appointments for 2/22/2011)

Alley Cats and Angels is holding a free spay day on National Spay Day, Tuesday, February 22, 2011. This spay day is for 20 cats and is specifically for friendly pet or stray cats owned by/cared for by households with low/limited incomes, on government assistance or unemployment.

Surgeries will be performed by a vet in Raleigh and appointments will be booked by Alley Cats and Angels. The cats will receive the following services on the February 22nd spay day: spay/neuter, FVRCP (distemper) vaccination, and rabies vaccination.

If you qualify for assistance and would like to get your cats spayed/neutered and vaccinated on the February 22nd spay day, please complete a spay/neuter assistance request form on our website (http://alleycatsandangels.org/neuterform.htm).

Also, if you know anyone that would like to help with our spay day, we are accepting the following donations

• Monetary donations to help offset the cost of spay day surgical fees and vaccinations.
• Cat carriers to be given to households needing carriers to bring their cats to spay day - owners will be able to keep the carriers. The carriers do not need to be new, just in acceptable usable condition.
• Towels and puppy pads to be used in recovery cages and carriers.
