Adoption update

It was a pretty good weekend for the kitties with five adoptions. Three kittens (Rhythm, Lulu, and Dorothy) were adopted. Also adopted this weekend are two cats over one year old quite shy kitties who celebrated their 1-year anniversary with Alley Cats and Angels by being adopted; those cats are Zipper (!!!!!) and Saffron (!!). 

Congratulations to the kitties and their new families.

 Lulu is in good hands.

 Rhythm is the center of attention.

 Saffron is already hugging his new mom.

 Zipper has a new brother to play with.

There goes Johnny!

Over the past year I've gotten to watch Johnny go from a shy, skittish kitten who would hide behind the litter box to a super sweet TALKATIVE cat who just loves to be petted. 

A kitten who looked a little like Eddie Munster.

Boy, can he talk! Chatty chatty cat!

He was our featured cat for a little while and then I got a couple of voicemails from someone interested in Johnny. 2 voicemails a day for a few days even. Multiple family members were calling for Johnny, they loved him so much and didn't want to miss the chance to take this sweet boy home. (And of course they filled out the adoption application too.)

The expression on that little girl's face is priceless. She's so super excited to have Johnny in her family. And we're excited for them too.

This lovely Tortie has been missing for a few days and may have moved out of her home area as the owners only moved in to the neighborhood back in March 2013. If she got confused or turned around when she escaped, she may have tried to go the few miles back to her previous home.

Adoption update!

Three cats/kittens were adopted this weekend: Jake, Nod, and Sweet Pea. Congratulations to the kitties and their new families.

$5 spay/neuter vouchers for qualifying households

Alley Cats & Angels is having a $5 spay/neuter voucher promotion for lower income households to get their cats done in honor of Mother's Day. 

A sort of No More Mother's Day (or Father's Day, the vouchers are good for male cats too!) event. 

Vouchers are good for tame or feral cats and are accepted by several vets (Raleigh, Rolesville, and Cary) and the SNAP-NC mobile spay/neuter van.
